Haunted?  Absolutely!

Shasta State Historic Park is located just 10 minutes west of Redding on Highway 299. Or, as we locals call it, “Old Shasta.”

Stuck in a time bubble, Old Shasta is what remains of the original gold-mining town of Shasta, complete with a museum, original cemetery, jail, and gallows (sans rope).

Old Shasta is well worth a visit.
